Daniel Cunningham: From Suicidal to Fighting Japan's Secret War of Souls

[00:00:00] You know, I had everything I ever wanted. Awesome car, nice apartment in Sydney, everything I wanted. I was sleeping around constantly, drugs, alcohol, partying. I had this life that to the world, to my friends, to other people may look really, really awesome, but I realized like, "Wait, I'm actually really broken inside still. Like, I'm actually still really empty." Like, why do I feel this way? A family member used to take me when I was like three, four, five years old to the cemetery to go and do spells over the graves and try and talk to the dead, and all these sort of things that were actually like a regular occurrence in, in my daily day-to-day.

[00:00:37] You know, the kids would be playing on the playground, I would be in the cemetery. So I would regularly have encounters with spirits, quite serious, like very severe nightmares. Um, I would have things pull me out of bed, um, scratches on me. I would literally be sexually abused by demonic spirits, which is like, for anyone who's been through that, you know how real that can be. You know, I'm done with my life. I'm, I'm gonna end it. And I said, "God, if you are real, if you love me, I get it, I'm the problem. If you love me, please save me." And a wind came, and my door was closed, my windows were closed.

[00:01:14] This, this wind came from nowhere. It was a supernatural wind. It was physical and spiritual, and it blew me down onto my knees, and I instantly heard a voice in my head that said, "Daniel, it's Jesus. If you follow me, I'll save you Dan, Jesus set you free from hundreds of demons, and today you help others get free and be healed. Where did that story begin? Aaron, thanks for having me. Let me start from the start. It's a pretty crazy story. Even a lot of Christians might have trouble believing half the things that I'm gonna say, but that's okay. Um, pray into it.

[00:01:51] But here's the thing. I grew up in a small town in New Zealand. I, uh, did not know Jesus whatsoever. I actually, my father's side of the family, um, run the Jehovah's Witness cult in that region of New Zealand. My uncle was, like, one of the, the big leaders there. So, um, at a young age, I actually was dragged along to a lot of their meetings, and that gave me a really bad taste for religion and God and all this stuff because it's a very rules-based religion. It's a very, like, if you do the wrong thing, then you get shunned, and you get pushed out of the family, and it's, there's a lot of guilt and shame and all this stuff.

[00:02:24] So it was, like, a pretty, quite strongly religious, and that pushed me away from God. There was still a lot of love in that family. They're actually quite loving people, and throughout my life they looked after me at different difficult times of my life. So, um, I honor them through that. But obviously, the religion gave me that bad taste for God. And then on my mom's side of the family, there was some sort of Anglican, um, background from, from the UK, from some of her family, but there was also, like, a lot of witchcraft influence in the family on that side as well.

[00:02:53] Um, and so for example, like, a family member used to take me when I was, like, three, four, five years old to the cemetery to go and do spells over the graves and try and talk to the dead, and all these sort of things that were actually, like, a regular occurrence in, in my daily day-to-day. You know, the kids would be playing on the playground. I would be in the cemetery. Um, and that's stuff that a lot of people didn't really believe. You know, when I would go to school, and then I'd start telling the other kids, "This is how I spent my weekend," and they're like, "What?

[00:03:21] What are you talking about?" Um- So that's kind of the background that I had, and spirituality was really commonplace in, in my household. So I grew up with single mother, um, my sister, so very small, um, close family. Um, but my mom was away working a lot. Like, I wanna honor her because she spent, um, a lot of time working to provide for us alone. And in that time, um, there's a lot of spiritual things that were happening in the house because of the spiritual practices that were involved in my family. So I would regularly have encounters with, um, spirits, what at the time we used to call them ghosts 'cause we didn't really have the language.

[00:03:57] We didn't really understand that's the stuff that the world calls these things. But now I know, uh, as a Christian that those were demonic encounters, that those were demonic spirits. And it would be quite, quite serious, like very severe nightmares. Um, I would have things pull me out of bed, um, scratches on me. I would literally be sexually abused by demonic spirits, which is like, for anyone who's been through that, you know how real that can be. Um, and as a kid, it's like you're losing your innocence to a spiritual demonic, um, you know, entity. It's not as-- It's, it's such a, like, perverted thing that, um, came, came into my life, and there was so much, like, witchcraft and then, um, you know, people in my family were- they were going down a spiritual journey of, um, you know, uh, New Age mostly, um, so like Buddhism.

[00:04:44] Um, so a lot of my family were a part of a, a Chinese Buddhist temple for 10 years, um, and they did all the oaths, all the things. Um, you know, we'd, uh… yoga, um, meditation, r- reiki, kinesiology, acupuncture, all that sort of Eastern, um, stuff as well. And so just everything, everything you can imagine. Hare Krishnas, this or that, and it was like, let's just tick all the boxes of spirituality and, and see what works. Throw everything at the wall, see what sticks kind of thing. And, um, I noticed that my family, um, were really going on this spiritual journey for healing.

[00:05:22] That's what I think a lot of w- of what it was about, was like searching for healing or purpose And for me, I didn't really care about any of that. For me, I was like, I recognize that the spiritual realm was real, um, but I was like, how can I sort of leverage or manipulate or, or, or use the spiritual powers to, for my own advantage? That's all I could think about, even as a young kid. You know, there's a story, um, I got taken to, as a young boy in primary school, to a magic shop, which was really just a witchcraft store, and I remember buying a, a love potion spell, um, which I actually used on a girl at school, which actually made her obsessed with me, but then it, like, backfired completely and caused all these problems for the next 10 years with that person.

[00:06:08] It's a lot of problems. So that's, that's how witchcraft works. It's a v- there's very real power behind it, but it's obviously nothing compared to the power of Jesus, and it's, it's corruption, and it's noth- the, the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. So all of these things, no matter how you use them or you engage with them, it's gonna bring chaos into your life. It's gonna bring destruction into your life. It's gonna… And that's what was happening. Um, so yeah, I knew the spiritual realm was real, and as I was growing older in my la-later teenage years, I'm th-35 now, so, um, I was a teenager in the, uh, 2000s, and, uh, I, I was on the early internet.

[00:06:47] I was on all the, the bad websites at an early age. I ha- I was very computer literate at that age, um, building computers and such. So I was on all sorts of crazy websites, and I was seeing a lot of things about conspiracy theories and aliens and demons and, um, you know, Jay-Z and Barack Obama and the Illuminati and all these things, and I'm like, "Whoa, that's what I want." Like, I want the money and the fame and the power and that, the s- whatever spiritual power is behind that, that's what I wanna tap into. So I used to just, like, I don't even know how to explain it, pray into, pray into that.

[00:07:22] I didn't even know what I was doing. Like, sort of mani- trying to manifest that into my life. Um, it went from everything. I forget what it's called, but there was-- my friends had this, um, this thing where you could listen to different, uh, sound frequencies that would, uh, uh, emulate things like taking LSD or, um, or having spiritual experiences, and I would use that or, you know, we'd be drinking or, or, you know, praying into these things or trying to do spells or whatever it is. And so this was a, this was a normal part of my life, you know?

[00:07:53] And I realized I thought that was pretty normal, but when I talked to other people, I realized that's not as common as what, what I thought it was. Uh, that's how I lived my life, you know? In the, in the West, maybe it's not that common. Obviously, in, in Asia and other countries, it's like, it's completely normal, you know? But for, for Australia, where I live, it was, um, uh, not, not very normal. So- Um, yeah, moved to Australia when I was young, but grew up mostly in Australia. And, uh, where'd I go from there? So then, yeah, I had some bad relationships, um, uh, some really bad breakups.

[00:08:29] Um, but I was, I was a terrible person at, at, uh, in my early 20s. I was working bars and nightclubs and just doing everything, you know, the world has to offer: sex, drugs, money, w- stealing. You know, what- I was doing it all, you know. And, um, I thought I could just get away with anything, and it sort of felt like that, like I could get away with anything. But there was always consequences, like I would overdose or drink too much, end up in the hospital, or this relationship would break down, or this or that, and I'd run out of money constantly, and so my life was, was an absolute mess, and I was extremely suicidal at this point in my life.

[00:09:09] And I remember many times around early 20s, just like some of my friends would be talking about God, and I was like, "Okay, God, if you're real, show yourself right now so I can blame you for everything that's gone wrong in my life." You know, at that point, I was never someone who would take accountability for anything. It was always somebody else's fault, you know, and there was so much pride and ego and all these things, so I didn't-- never wanted to admit that anything was my fault, even though pretty much everything was my fault. Um, so I was tapping into this power, and I was praying into these things.

[00:09:43] I even was trying to do a media company with like, I was making video games and animations, and one day I was just like praying to the universe or whatever, "What should I call the name of this brand?" And this name just came to me in my mind, and it was Nay Taz Productions. I was like, "Okay, Nay Taz Productions." So I named it that, had it for like six months, made all the animations, the logos. And then one day I realized, wait, Natas is Satan backwards. I was like, okay, this Satan thing is real. Like, there's something behind this.

[00:10:19] And so I sort of kept that in my back pocket. But then I ended up, uh, getting a job in tech sales, um, about 23 years old. So I moved and I was working in tech for the next, like, nearly 10 years in Sydney and Melbourne and Brisbane, sort of all, moving constantly working at these different tech companies. I was working for a company that did sales for Google, then I worked for Tesla. I got to meet Elon Musk at one point. We were doing all these big projects, um, in the early days of Tesla in Australia. Um, and I was working at Amazon, um, uh, and considering I had actually skipped university to have these, the positions that I had and the money I was making, um, for someone who skipped university in their mid-20s to be doing these roles was, like, pretty unheard of.

[00:11:08] And I sort of gave a lot to that to, one, just working really hard, but two, these spiritual entities, you know, trying to leverage the spiritual realm for my own, you know, needs. And so I knew that there was something there, but I could never quite put my finger on exactly what it was, and it's like every day it would sort of change. Like, maybe it's this, maybe it's that, maybe it's a bit of this, maybe I'll take a bit of this, a bit of that, a bit of this, a bit of that, and it's sort of like New Age spirituality or this sort of, um, Illuminati kind of stuff.

[00:11:41] It, it, it's, you can just take whatever you want. You can have a bit of this, a bit of that. You throw it all together, and then you get what you get. And, um, I was into to, to a lot of it, but, um, you know, I was, I was making lots of money doing all this stuff, but then I got to this point, you know. I had everything I ever wanted: the car, you know, awesome car, nice apartment in Sydney, um, everything I wanted. I was sleeping around constantly, drugs, alcohol, partying. Um, uh, I had this life that to the world, to my friends, to other people may look really, really awesome, um, but I realized, like, wait, I'm actually really broken inside still.

[00:12:20] Like, I'm actually still really empty. Like, why do I feel this way? And I started looking, like, how to, how to make myself feel better. Uh, I was starting to feel suicidal again, and it had been a while since, you know… Uh, uh, at this point I'm about 30 years old, so it'd been about 10 years since I'd, you know, um, had suicide attempts, and I'm, I'm starting to feel suicidal again. I'm like, "How is this possible? I have everything I want." Like… Um, and then I, I actually had a family member send me this book, and it was, um, how to summon demons.

[00:13:00] And it was filled with hundreds of demons and how to summon them, what to summon them for, what they do. Summon this one for money, summon this one for power, summon this one, blah, blah, blah. And I thought, like even though I was into all this stuff, I still thought it was a bit ridiculous. It was a bit of a joke, so I joked around with it. I read, I made a video of like making fun of it and stuff, but I was drawing the symbols, I was praying the prayers or whatever at the same time. It was kind of crazy.

[00:13:25] Um, and at this point I started getting really tormented in my li- extremely spiritually tormented in my life to the point where, again, I was waking up with scratches, I was being pulled off my bed. Um, I got countless intrusive thoughts about everything, about my sexuality, about, um, suicide, about, um, just doing crazy stuff like quitting my job and moving to a random country or, um, or just like li- com- completely lying to people, just, just deception, just confusion, just… It, it was, my whole life was a complete mess. And it got to this point where I was walking one day, I went for a walk, and I realized like I, I almost felt paralyzed, like I couldn't even move.

[00:14:12] Like my body was so heavy that I couldn't even move my body anymore, and I was like, "That's it, like I'm done. I'm done." Like there's nothing… I can't do anything. Like I'm completely in chaos And then, um, this was 2021, towards the end of 2021. This is, this is, uh, the moment where I met Jesus. So did you have any questions before I go to that, or? One question I had was, when you was going through these New Age practices, what specifically were they? Just so people can kind of point a finger at, at them and say, "Well, okay, that's what, that's what that is."

[00:14:53] Yeah, there's a lot. Um, uh, my family were members were more into, like, the Buddhism stuff, so, um, would help with, like, putting on the Buddhist birthday celebrations and do, like, the recite the things and the prayers, and go to the temple and do all that stuff. Um, just trying to remember specifically. There was some- I would do, like, the blood moon spells. I remember I did this blood moon spell about, um, wishing death on part of my family who I didn't like at the time, and that I would inherit all their money and stuff like this. Like, crazy stuff.

[00:15:26] Crazy stuff. Um, yeah, I mentioned that, uh, potion, the love potion thing. Um, just, like, lots of praying and manifestation, so I would, I would have a vision board, and a lot of people do this, and they don't think anything wrong with it, and usually there's not if there's no bad intent, but the vision things I had on my vision board, um, were not good. Um, you know, I would have girlfriends that were into New Age, and I'd do spells with them or, um, stuff like that. Uh, you know, uh, tarot cards with them or, or crystals. Uh, big into crystal healing.

[00:15:57] Put the crystals on my chest, on my head. Um, I forgot to mention, but I actually had a tech startup, um, in my mid- mid-20s. So for about two and a half years, we had this startup called ASAP, and it was basically like a Uber Eats-style business. We were, like, the first ones in Australia to actually start that business model in Australia, and I was on Shark Tank, the Australian version of Shark Tank, and we had, like, big investors, and we were in Japan with this conference about some of the best startups, and we had -- We were building this brand.

[00:16:25] It was going really well, and then it, it kind of failed. We, like, ran out of money, um, and it all failed, but through that business, I was introduced to a lot of powerful people. So people that were, you know, in the mining sector. In Australia, the mining sector is, like, the big, the big one. It's, like, really where the majority of the money is, and, um, you know, going to the secret clubs, invited to the secret clubs as a guest, and, and then we would sort of leverage that as, like, okay, um, how much can we push this? So we would, like, you know… So we'd be invited to the secret club, but, but it'd be invite-only.

[00:16:58] It'd be a members-only club, right? But then we would sort of make friends with the security or the bartenders or whoever was there, and we would do, do our best to make friends with the people who worked there so that we could come back, um, even though we weren't members. And so we managed to do-- e-exploit a lot of, like, little loopholes and, you know, we- E- even if you add the supernatural element to it, there was times when, um, we would just put on a suit and just, like, be led by something and just go and press all the buttons on a elevator, and then we'd end up in the most random places, um, where, like, it, it was, it was like a spirit was leading us to somewhere.

[00:17:33] And I remember when we had the startup, we got led to this, this event, and it's like the elevator doors open, and there was this big fancy dinner that was being put on. We had no idea where we were or what was happening. And one of the, the people that was setting the table, he comes up to us, he's like, "Come on, guys. You're late. You're late. Come over." And then so we come over, and we go in and then goes into a conference room, and it's, um, a, a competitor of ours that was putting on this big dinner and this conference about their plans for the next year, their investment plans, their strategy, all the… It was crazy.

[00:18:06] And, like, it was like we were supernaturally led to this, to this thing. And we were there, and we had the dinner, and eventually people started to figure out we weren't meant to be there, and then so we left. But stuff like that would happen all the time, and I, and I… And maybe it's hard for people to understand, but there's definitely, like, a supernatural element to those moments happening. And then as a Christian, the same thing happens, but being led by the Holy Spirit, where you get led to, like, coincidental moments like that, but for good instead of, like, bad things.

[00:18:31] You know what I mean? So spiritual realm, like, you, you s- start to learn how things work. But- Yeah, so one thing I learned about a lot of those powerful people, people in positions of power and money and all that in that world, is that a lot of them, once you were drunk enough or on drugs or whatever, and you got them alone, you- the conversation would always drift to, like, spirituality, to, like, something about what they worship or that, or they do spells or they do this or that and behind the scenes. And maybe a lot of them won't admit it, but these days I think a lot of people do admit it publicly.

[00:19:04] Like, you see the celebrities, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, whoever, and they, they confess that they're a witch, and they actually mean it, you know? So it's becoming more, like, acceptable for people to say this. But I noticed a lot of these people do this stuff, and I was like, "Okay, I must be on the right track." But of course, it was completely the, the wrong way to go. So I got a bit of a taste of that behind the scenes, seeing things, hearing things that I shouldn't have heard, shouldn't have seen, dark things, um, you know, like it, it sort of touches on the Jeffrey Epstein style blackmail stuff.

[00:19:38] We never got too deep on that, but you could definitely see that stuff happening behind the scenes. Even as a startup with people who wanted to invest in you, it became almost like… I have this analogy where startups became like these, um, uh, like warriors in a coliseum, and it's like investors would use startups as like warriors in a coliseum fighting for their entertainment. It wasn't even for them to make money or anything. It was just like, it was just like a game to them. And so being a part of that is like, how much are you loyal to your master or your investor or your venture capitalist or whatever, where it's like they get you to do corporate espionage or, or that would happen to us as well.

[00:20:17] Like, there's some stuff I can't talk about with Shark Tank, but behind the scenes we had people spying on, c- infiltrating us, stealing our customer data, taking photos of things or attempting to, or hacking, hacking into our, um, share office spa- Like, all of that stuff constantly, and it was like a loyalty thing. It was like a blackmail thing. And, um, that's a whole 'nother, that's a whole 'nother story. But, um, we got a bit of a taste of that. Nothing too hectic, but I remember making this decision in my heart, like, 'cause there were rumors about the Jeffrey Epstein stuff even back then.

[00:20:49] That- this was like 2016. And I was-- I remember in my heart, I was so perverted, I was so dark at that time that I, that I actually spoke this out with someone and I said, "If they get us to do the worst of the worst of that Jeffrey Epstein stuff so that we can be like them, so we can be rich and powerful like them, I'll do it. The worst, it doesn't matter. Whatever it is." Like, that's something I actually spoke out. That's the kind of person that I, I was at my worst. But praise God that it never got to that point, but I'm just saying, like, that's where my heart was.

[00:21:22] And so, um, yeah, a few years later, um, we're going back to 2021 and, and um, I'm starting to realize I'm a terrible person. I, I was starting to realize that everything wrong in my life is my fault, and that's where this, this moment of humility actually unlocked an encounter with God. So- What led you to realize that you were a bad person? 'Cause oftentimes it's like when you hold up a mirror, um, you can see yourself, and that mirror is obviously the word of God. But what was it for you? It's interesting you say that, 'cause I think one of the thing is, in 2021 I was in Sydney, and the COVID lockdowns there were extreme, some of the most extreme in the world.

[00:22:06] So we could only leave for an hour a day. There was police and helicopters, everything constantly. It was bad, like, at the worst of it. And so there was a lot of time for reflection, and not enough, n- not enough time for distraction or partying and having fun and buying stuff. It was like I was alone in my apartment reflecting. So that was happening while I was going on the dark web, going on some really bad websites to try and figure out what was going on, 'cause I didn't trust the government, 'cause I had heard from some powerful people in the past that something like this was gonna happen.

[00:22:40] So it didn't surprise me that was happening, but I wanted to know the secrets behind it, what was really going on, so I was on all sorts of forums and stuff. And I noticed that everywhere I was going, that somebody would write s- would leave a Bible verse. It's like it doesn't matter where I went, there was a Bible verse in the comments or on a forum or whatever, and I was like, "Okay." And I'd always seen those throughout my life on Instagram posts or here or there, but I would, it would, it was like I was blind to it.

[00:23:02] But the first time, it was like I started to actually read it, and I was like, "Oh, maybe, like, some bad… May- maybe this stuff is by Satan. Maybe, like, God is real." Like, there was just a little bit of that happening, not much, a little bit. Uh, I didn't know any Christians at the time. I didn't really know anything, you know, didn't have that much understanding of Christianity or anything. Um, but as I started to reflect and start to realize, like, okay, um, you know, there is, there must be object… This, this is it. This is the thing that really solidified it for me.

[00:23:37] My whole life I had been living morally, subjectively. So my favorite quote was from Shakespeare, which was, uh, "There's no such thing as good or evil, but thinking makes it so." And I live my life like this, where it's like anything could be good or evil. Today this could be good, tomorrow it could be evil, whatever you want it to be. And because of that, there's also a, a, a cultish, uh, an occult, um, thing called, uh, Thelema, which is, um, "Thou shall do what thou wilt," um, which is like a very satanic… I think that comes from the s- uh, Satanic Bible or something, which is like do whatever you want.

[00:24:18] And so I live by that, and I started to realize, like wait, there's like an oppression happening with these COVID lockdowns. I feel oppressed right now, so there must be an, there must be some sort of objective good and evil. What does that look like? And then I started to realize, hold on, if good and evil is real And if God is real, where do I land on that spectrum? And I started to realize that actually I'm evil. Like, the things that I've done are evil. Like, I've actually done evil. I am the evil one. I started to realize that in this moment of reflection.

[00:25:04] And so at this moment, I was completely suicidal, and I can just feel, feel it even right now, like I get emotional every time I, I come to this point. But, um, I just, I just said, "God," like, "I'm done," you know? "I'm done with my life. I'm, I'm gonna end it." And I said, "God, if you are real, if you love me- I get it. I'm the problem "If you love me, please save me." It was just something simple like that. And I had no language for what happened next because I hadn't really read the Bible or anything But I had a completely biblical experience, which was a wind came, and my door was closed, my windows were closed.

[00:26:01] This, this wind came from nowhere. It was a supernatural wind. It was physical and spiritual, and it blew me down onto my knees, and I instantly heard a voice in my head that said, "Daniel, it's Jesus. If you follow me, I'll save you." And that was a shock to hear because I wasn't calling out to Jesus specifically. I, I didn't know who… I just said, you know, "The big boss, the creator of the universe, whoever's in charge, whoever's number one," that's, that's who I was directing my prayer to, and Jesus answered. So and I didn't want it to be Jesus.

[00:26:33] I actually hated Jesus. I hated the idea of Jesus, but that's who showed up with the rescue boat, and I immediately knew in my heart and my spirit everything I knew about Jesus was wrong, that He is actually everything that is good, and He is the only savior. And I, I supernaturally kne- understood all of this in the moment. It's like a supernatural… I'd heard the gospel maybe when I was a kid at a Christmas thing or something, so I kinda knew it. But in my heart and my spirit, I, I supernaturally understood it for the first time, and I agreed- came into a full agreement with it, and it was a black-and-white moment.

[00:27:10] Um, and I felt instantly transformed as a new creation, someone completely new, and I didn't know what to do next, so I got on my phone and I ordered a, a cross necklace and a Bible 'cause I thought you had to wear a cross bec- I didn't know anything. Um, and then so I got on my phone, and I was reading the Bible. I was like, "I don't know where to start, but my name is Daniel. I know there's a Book of Daniel in the Bible, so I'm gonna just read that." And as I'm reading it, none of it's making sense because I don't know what- reading the Bi- Book of Daniel out of context.

[00:27:46] But I hea- heard that voice again in my head saying, "Yes, this is my word. Follow my word." And so I knew that, okay, this is the right thing. And, um, within the next couple of weeks, there was, like, a big trash collection. We- In, in Australia, we do the trash collections, like, once a year. You put all your trash out on the, like, all the, I don't know, furniture, bad stuff that you don't use anymore, and they come collect it. So it was, like, the perfect timing to… I had, like, witchcraft books and this s- demon-summoning book, and I had, um, you know, I don't know, like, sex toys, drugs, whatever, and I just put it all, like, on this pile, and I just threw it out, and it was like, wow.

[00:28:28] It, it just felt so freeing. Um, obviously, things took a little while, and I wasn't being discipled at this time because the churches were closed, and, um, I didn't know any Christians. And so it was just me, the Bible- and God and YouTube. I was watching YouTube sermons and, um, you know, like explanation videos and stuff like that, Bible study videos. So just trying to figure it all out. And, um, yeah, the Lord led me back to Brisbane, which is where I live now and where I spent most of my time in Australia. It's the third biggest Sydney, uh, third biggest city in Australia.

[00:29:07] Um, my least favorite city, but I'm stuck here. Uh, it's way too hot. It gets to, like, 45 degrees in summer. Um, but I- when I came back here, um, I met an old friend who I used to party with, Victoria, and turns out she had had an encounter with Jesus at the same time as me, completely separate without knowing. Uh, so we started this journey together and, and Victoria's now my wife, so we got married like, uh, nine months after that. Um, God just brought us together and, and we met a bunch of other young Christians, and we just tried to figure it all out.

[00:29:43] You know, we were going… We went to every kind of church, like a Jewish Messianic church and a Baptist and a Pentecostal and this and that. We, we, we were just trying to figure it out. And what was surprising to me is that, um There, there was a lot of inconsistency with doctrine about who believes what and this and that, and everyone was so, like, determined to say that their way was right and everyone else's wrong, and I'm like, "Well, what's the truth?" You know? And so I had to, had to find the right people, the right mentors, the right people to sort of lead us and disciple us.

[00:30:16] And, um, eventually we did find a good church, which is New- Newheart Church, which I'm in right now filming this. We've been here for four years nearly, and yeah, four- more than four years. And we're leaders in this church. We're helping plant a new church. Um, we got married here. Um, the love of God is here. The miracles of God are here. It's, it's a beautiful, beautiful church. We're so blessed to have found it, but we also started a ministry. So, um, d- or do you have any questions before I get into what ministry we do and all that stuff or?

[00:30:50] I would l- I would love you to share the ministry work you're doing now, the work you're doing in Japan, and yeah, how you're helping people be set free and also healed. Yeah, so what happened was, um, we, we were, my wife and I w- we were sort of dating at the time. We were trying to, um, you know, figure out what to do, and I remember walking through this area in Brisbane, um, called Fortitude Valley, and it's like the red light district. It's where all the nightclubs and the, and the brothels and the strip clubs are all in one place.

[00:31:23] It's very concentrated. And that's where we used to party, and I remember just walking through there, and I seen this man holding a sign that says, "Jesus saves," and, "Jesus loves you." And I was like, "I don't know what that is, but I gotta do that." I just didn't even know what evangelism was. Um, so I met him and then met a group of evangelists, and over the last, uh, four and a half years, we've grown that to multiple groups of evangelism, dis- discipled tens of people, I think like 30, 40 people through that, um, in different areas of the city, different suburbs around the country, in different cities in Australia, in New Zealand, in Japan.

[00:32:05] Um, so that's, that's essentially a big part of our ministry is the street evangelism and discipling people in street evangelism, preaching the gospel on the microphone, talking with people one-on-one, handing out tracts, having discussions, um, with people, praying for people, casting out demons, healing the sick, all that stuff on the street. Um, like, just like Jesus said in the Great Commission, you know, go, um, preach the gospel to all creation, making disciples of all nation, baptizing in the name of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, casting out demons, healing the sick. Like, go and do these things. Like, that's the mission that Jesus left for us to complete.

[00:32:40] Like, he started that mission, demonstrated it to his disciples, and then told the church to go and do it. And so I was pretty disappointed actually- that the church wasn't doing that nearly as much as maybe they should be. And I remember thinking like nobody ever really, like I didn't really, uh, and see, like no one really came up to me when I was in the world So I was like, "Man, like, where are you church? Like, what are you guys doing?" So we were a little bit, like, disappointed, and I had a bit of righteous anger towards the church early on that it wasn't being done. But so we built it, and, and we just like- the God just moved. Like, we just- we were just like, "God, what do you want us to do?

[00:33:17] Where do you want us to go?" Like, "What do you want us- how do you want us to do this?" And early on, we didn't h- have apologetics. We didn't have, you know, huge Bible study knowledge. All we knew was, like, the simple gospel and our testimony. And so we would just share-- And the power of God, the love of God, you know? So we would just, um, share our testimony with people and the gospel with people on the street, and God would do amazing miracles, people getting saved, healed, delivered. All sorts of things were happening. And so we're like, "Okay, if we just film…" Maybe, like, we share our testimony with 10 people a night out on the street.

[00:33:49] If we film it and put it on YouTube, like so- like we've seen some other channels do, maybe we could get 100 views, you know? That's like 10 nights' worth of evangelism. So we filmed my wife's testimony first, thinking, "Praise God, if this gets 150 views, that's, that's awesome. That's 150 peop- they're gonna hear about Jesus." And within three weeks, it had had 150,000 views, and it just like, for us, that was like big, you know, big viral. And then we just started- we're like, "Okay, well, there's lots of evangelists here with crazy testimonies." There was a woman, Emilia, who was a stripper and had an encounter with Jesus at getting a tattoo.

[00:34:28] There was, uh… And s- she saw hell and, um, you know. Like, there was a- another guy who the, uh… He was a, a gay porn star, and a homeless man gave him the gospel, and he encountered God. And so we had all these testimonies around us, so we just started filming them, sharing them, and then we're getting millions of views, you know? And, um, now tens of millions of views. So, like, tens of millions of people through social media and YouTube and all the channels and all the things that we do, and all the evangelism videos and the teaching videos and everything that it's grown into, like, the Lord's just snowballed it and grown it into this giant ministry.

[00:35:02] Um, you know, countless people have been saved, healed, and delivered just through the videos. Like, we get, you know, a message once a week or twice a week or three times a week from someone in, I don't know, Brazil, America, New Zealand, wherever, and they're like, "Hey, came across one of your videos, had an encounter with Jesus, got saved." Like, praise God, that's amazing. Or, you know, someone who, um, found out about deliverance or was able to go seek deliverance, get free from demons, or whatever it was. Um, and that was amazing. So it's, it's just like, it's really cool to see how God can use not just, like, in person, but also, like, digital evangelism, like, can reach so many people.

[00:35:41] Because, like, you think about you preach to maybe a crowd of 50 on the street, but you can preach to 50,000 on social media, you know, at once. It's like, it's, it's not quite as impactful, but the, the reach is there Um, but then there was a, another big need here in Australia is deliverance and healing. So that's a, a, a huge part that we also noticed that the church wasn't really Maybe they sort of, I, I guess the sort of ch- the church has sort of dropped the ball on this for a while, and I think a lot of churches don't even believe in it, or maybe they do believe in it, but they're scared of it, or maybe they do believe in it and they're not scared of it, but they're not equipped in it, or maybe, um, their, their doctrine on it is bad or whatever.

[00:36:24] So there's like a million different things that can … the enemy has used to stop this ministry from, from being effective in Australia. But we see it's a huge part of Jesus' ministry. Everywhere He went, He was healing the sick, casting out demons. Everywhere He went, the synagogues, the street, the markets, wherever. And He told all of His disciples, first the 12 He sent out to preach on the Kingdom of Heaven, heal the sick, cast out demons. Then He sent the 72 to go and do the same. They all did the same thing. Then He said in the Great Commission, "Now everyone go out and do the same thing."

[00:36:55] So it's pretty crazy that, that that's something that the church has avoided, and I think it's a l- a big reason why the church has been sort of dead for so long. But praise God, we're seeing revival now, and we're seeing that deliverance and healing and evangelism are a huge component of revival. Like, without those things, it's not gonna happen. Obviously, God is the one who does it, but those are the things that, like, H- that's His will for us to do, you know? And if we're in His will, then the things, things are gonna happen, things are gonna You know, miracles are gonna happen.

[00:37:27] So, um, but it really started with my deliverance. So obviously, everything I've talked about, I opened countless doors to demons in my life, and, um, I know a lot of people struggle with this. I know a lot of churches struggle with this. It's gonna be an argument till the day Jesus returns and, and so many people are gonna get angry at me for saying this, but yes, Christians can have demons. And there's, there's a, there's a big doctrine about if you- once you're born again, you can't have a demon. And, and I don't know where you stand on this, Aaron, but the, the truth is the Bible doesn't actually say that.

[00:38:00] It doesn't say that once you're born again, you can't have a demon. And there's … I've got a whole teaching in all the scriptures, and there's, there's many scriptures that actually say, even Paul warns, uh, if, if you entertain another Jesus, if you go after another Jesus, the one that you haven't received, you're gonna receive a different spirit than the spirit you've received. And he's talking to saved people in the Church of Corinth. He's saying you can receive another demonic spirit even though you have the Holy Spirit. When people, when churches ignore it, when churches assume that all the demons leave immediately even though the Bible doesn't say that, we know that sanctification is a process.

[00:38:39] It doesn't all happen at once. Like, uh, it would be amazing if, if we were, like, 100% clean and sanctified, renewed our mind, everything immediately. Now, like, that's available, but we've gotta walk it out. Like, there's a process to that. Even 2 Corinthians 7:1, Paul says, l- uh, "Beloved," having these promises of Jesus, he's talking about "Let us cleanse ourselves of all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." And so many Christians don't understand holiness, what it means to perfect holiness in the fear of God, and to cleanse our spirit, to cleanse our flesh.

[00:39:15] So, like, there's a process of sanctification, of renewing our mind with the word of God, of healing our emotions and our spirit and our body and all these things. And there's a process of deliverance, of being set free from demonic spirits. Now, once, once Jesus has made you born again, you're owned by Jesus. You're not owned by the devil, right? There's, there, there's a clear distinction. The, the demons no longer own you, but they're tre- now they're trespassing. Before, they were allowed to be there, now they're trespassing. But you still gotta get them out. And so Jesus gave us a process on how to do that, which is casting out demons.

[00:39:48] So, what's happened in the church for so long is people become comfortable with this idea of like, we don't need to do any of that. Was gr- one of the greatest lies the enemy's ever told is that we don't have to cast demons out, because of course, that, that's, like, the best strategy of, of Satan is to, like, stop that from happening, right? And then people get angry at us, and they're like, "Oh, you're focusing on demons." It's like, no, we're not focusing on demons. We're focusing on people getting free from demons. Like, by the love of God. Like, when Jesus did these things, it says he was led by compassion.

[00:40:18] He was led by compassion to cast demons out, to set people free. Um, and once they're free, they're set free indeed. So, like, in Jesus' name, they're set free indeed, you know? So Um, you know, there's questions about, um, you know, what, uh, some people think that, um, the Bible says that light and darkness cannot live together. Um, what they're quoting is 2 Corinthians 6 towards the end, but that's not actually what it says. So I urge anyone who's confused about this, go back and read that, 2 Corinthians, uh, 6, the end. It actually poses questions. What fellowship does light have with darkness?

[00:40:56] So first off, that's a question. It's not a statement. Secondly, there's no fellowship happening between the Holy Spirit and demonic spirits, right? That's, that's not what's happening at all. So there's no fellowship happening there. Um, but what it- the context of that whole thing is do not have fellowship with darkness. Do not have fellowship with unbelievers. Do not have this fellowship with, with evil. You're like, you're in the light now. You're-- the good and the light should not be together. Um, people say things like, uh, the, the Holy Spirit does not come into unclean vessels. That's a, a saying that I hear a lot.

[00:41:32] Do you know that's not in the Bible? That comes from the Book of Mormon, from Helaman 4. So I've done a study on this. Go Google it. That's not in the Bible. That's in the Book of Mormon, which is literally a doctrine of demons. Um, people will say like, uh, God will not share his house with, uh, with the enemy. Well, like in, in concept, that sounds great. It's like, it, it sounds good. Um, but God allows these things to happen. That's why. It's not that God is not powerful enough to kick them out. Of course he is. He's all-powerful.

[00:42:02] But he allows things, he allows consequences of our sin to be walked out through sanctification. So for example, you know, you might have a court case from your old life before you were a Christian. You're still gonna have to walk out that court case, you know? You don't just get let off scot-free. You, you still have consequences. Like, you're, you're let off eternal consequences. You have salvation, and you're, and you're, you've been made right with God. You've been forgiven and all that, but there's still consequences that you have to experience here on Earth while we're still here. Like for example, a Christian still has free will.

[00:42:36] A Christian who has the Holy Spirit and is born again can still go and sleep with a prostitute, and let me tell you, there is physical consequences to that. You will receive an STD maybe. You will have-- Maybe that will cause breakup marriage and, uh, maybe it will cause chaos, whatever. There's physical consequences to that even though you're a born again Christian, and guess what? There's still spiritual consequences to that. You're probably gonna pick up a couple of demons, sexually transmitted demons. So th- these consequences are still a thing, right? Even if we look in the Book of Job, this gives us like clarity on it, is that Satan himself Was allowed to return before the throne of God in heaven, uh, I think it was three times, to speak to God on the throne before him, to go and harass Job, and this was allowed as a test.

[00:43:27] So if Satan is allowed back in heaven for a task, let me tell you, he's allowed in Christians for a task as well. And are, are you gonna pass that task? Are you gonna beat that test? Are you gonna overcome? Are you gonna be sanctified? Are you gonna be- um, cleanse your flesh and your spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God? Because that's what it's all about. So, and here's the other thing. Here's, here's- I'm gonna make it the most simple. I, I prayed. I was like, "Lord, make it really simple for me." Here's the thing. What are the conditions, Aaron, for being saved?

[00:44:02] Repent and receive Jesus in your heart. Well, yeah, faith in Jesus really, right? Is being free from demons a condition of salvation? You become free from demons if you get saved, so I would say no. Yeah, so having demons be removed before you can be saved is, is a work. It's a works-based salvation, right? Mm-hmm. Now, some people might say, well, being, um, uh, having no demons is a result of salvation The Bible never says that demons instantly leave when the Holy Spirit comes in. So that sounds really good, and sometimes it happens. Sometimes it actually happens. I know it does, but that's not the case generally.

[00:44:45] Um, it's the same with healing. It's, it's the same with renewing your mind. These are all sanctification process, so to make it really simple. And a lot of people get healed after they go through deliverance as well, 'cause oftentimes that- that's blockers for healing. Exactly. It's very biblical. J- there's many times Jesus c- uh, casts out a demon, and then it says that person was healed of their sickness. So sometimes demons are the cause of that sickness as well. Um, yeah, so I was just gonna say there might be some people in the comments who are angry at me for all that, but that's okay.

[00:45:16] That's how it is. Don't you worry about that whatsoever. What I would love to hear is your deliverance story and how that came to pass. I think it was about two weeks after I got water baptized, which was about six months in to my faith. The Lord's leading me, all these things, reading the Bible, um, doing all the stuff, and then, um, uh, on the street I start seeing deliverance for the first time. There was a guy who had been watching some videos on YouTube, and he started casting … He'd learned from that, and he started casting demons out on the street.

[00:45:48] Pretty simple. Come out in Jesus' name if there's a demon manifesting. It's not that complicated. Um, but o- once you sort of learn how to deal with certain scenarios and demons, like it, it makes it easier. So I started learning from that, but I started to realize, like, wait, like I haven't had demons cast out of me. For sure, I would have demons, right? Um, so I was praying about it for a little while, and then a couple of weeks later, I was driving around late at night, and I heard the Lord speak to me. He said, "Go to that guy's house- randomly, he lives just around the corner, go to his house, knock on his door, and he's gonna deliver you."

[00:46:27] And I was like, "Okay, it's kind of random." So I turn up at his door, 10 o'clock at night unannounced, and I say, "Hey brother, the Lord sent me here to get delivered." And he goes, "Praise God. Let's go." So I walk in. As soon as he lays his hand on me and starts praying, my whole body starts convulsing, which we see in the Bible where people fall over, they're convulsing as the demon's leaving. That's what happened to me. Fell down convulsing, and I start slithering like a snake around the room. Now, I could not recreate- if I tried to do it now, I wouldn't be able to recreate it.

[00:46:59] I was slithering around, my tongue out, making the snake noise, slithering around, and, um, he's just commanding it to leave, "Come out in Jesus', come out in Jesus' name." And then I had this powerful encounter. I had this, like, vision of Jesus taking a snake and pulling it out of me, and then I got delivered of that demon and a bunch of other demons. Um, over the next week I also had more deliverance with a, a mentor, a pastor, uh, and another pastor, and I would say 80 to 90% of the demons left in that week, and it was very full on.

[00:47:31] I was fa- I fasted three days a week. I was w- watching, uh, reading, sorry, all of Psalms, um, praying, just everything. And in that week of deliverance, and now since then I've done hundreds of deliverances myself, maybe, uh, I can't even count, maybe 2 to 300, and I'd say s- to this day my deliverance is still like top five most extreme that I've ever seen because of the stuff from my past. And, like, the, the different languages that demons were speaking out of me, different voices, different characters, jumping around, spinning, convulsing, everything you can imagine, um, as, as all these demons were coming out of me.

[00:48:12] And then, man, the freedom, the freedom was inc- just incredible. I remember this, like there was no longer this blockage in my head between, like, my thoughts and my actions. There was no interference or confusion. There's this just so light, like the weight was gone, the shame, the guilt, the confusion, all the stuff was just gone. The fear was gone. Um, it felt like I was using my legs for the first time in my whole life. Like, it was, it was crazy how connected I felt properly. Um, and this- there's just this massive breakthrough, just like it, it really, it, it was like another level of faith, like h- knowing that I'm free from this stuff and that I can now have a f- have a, a, a more complete experience with God as well and, um, without any interruptions.

[00:48:58] So- Um, yeah, and then I guess word spread of that pretty quickly, um, among some Christians around who were new Christians as well, and, and then they started coming in, and we started getting mentored by different people, um, who had been doing it 20 years, 10 years, h- a pastor here, a pastor there. So we're actually, um, the Lord actually brought the right people into our life to equip us with all sorts of different things. So casting out demons, pretty simple. You see in the Bible, "Come out in Jesus' name," you know? It's pretty simple. But that's, like, once you start to encounter higher-level demons, people with strongholds, when it's- there's a stubborn demon, when there's You know, the, the Bible is not a, um, a encyclopedia of demons.

[00:49:43] Like, there's no glossary at the back of the Bible that says, "Here are all the demons and their names and what they do." So we just discover that by experience, by in the world, and, and, and there is a biblical foundation of that. We see in Mark 5, um, the man in chains comes up to Jesus, and he says, um, you know, "What have you got to do with me?" You know, Jesus, blah, blah, blah. And then it says, "For Jesus had said, 'Come out of him.'" But the demon didn't come out. So even in Mark 5, Jesus says, "Come out of him," the demon doesn't come out right away.

[00:50:16] It then starts to negotiate and bargain with Jesus, and then he sa- he ignores that, and he says, he says, um, you know, uh, uh, blah, blah, blah. And then Jesus says, "Well, what's your name?" And he says, "Legion, for we are many." And then it says he begged him again and again not to send him to a faraway place. Um, and then, uh, Jesus eventually cast him into the, the peaks. So two important things there is, one, there was a stubborn demon that didn't come out immediately when Jesus himself said, "Come out." Um, and two, Jesus didn't… Well, we don't really know exactly, but Jesus, um, in that moment, didn't know his name or didn't know the function or the reason, so Jesus asked the question, "What's your name?" Like, "What are you doing?" So that is a biblical foundation.

[00:51:02] We come across these stubborn demons and, and we learn their names, we learn who they are, and we see the same kind of demons pop up all over the place in different people from the different thing. You know, if you've been doing a lot of yoga, you're gonna have the Kundalini spirit. If you've, um, I don't know, done, uh, in a Japanese temple, you're gonna have a, a Japanese spirit. If, you know, you've committed murder, you're gonna have a spirit of murder. If you're in a lot of fear, you're gonna have a spirit of fear. So, um, who cares at the end of the day what their name is?

[00:51:31] Um, but it helps to know their, their name and their, and their function so that you can call it out. And when they're called out, it's, like, just easy to cast them out. Um, now you don't wanna have a negotiation, like, th- th- whole- you don't wanna have this big conversation interrogation and figure out all the plans of the enemy. I think all that's kinda unnecessary, and it can lead you down some really bad paths. Um, but what you see in the New Testament is that when Jesus and the others are casting out demons, the demons are actually telling the truth about their name and what they're doing So we actually, in our authority and power that's shared with us through Jesus and the Holy Spirit, is that the demons actually have to submit.

[00:52:07] Now, the demons will lie, but we can actually force them to tell the truth as well about how they came in, what their name is, what they're doing, and that will actually allow you to cast them out more efficiently, I guess you could say. But, um, and that's available to all believers. It doesn't have to be me, Daniel Cunningham, man of God. I, I hate that kind of stuff where there's, like, people put on a stage and a pedestal. It's like everyone's gotta go to them to get delivered or healed. It's like, no, like, we all have the same Holy Spirit.

[00:52:33] Like Jesus told all believe- all believers can do these things, and I just wish that the Church would sort of come more into alignment with that, and I think that's happening. It's way more, um, common or way more, um, just done now these days compared to when we first started four years ago. Like, it was, it was so taboo when we were doing it, and now there's, like, we've got teams of people all over the country, um, doing it all the time, and then the, the- there's a desperate need for it. We get messages every single week from people needing deliverance or healing or whatever it is, and we're seeing miracles literally every week.

[00:53:07] And we've had people in our church who were heavily demon-possessed, who were having seizures, doctors didn't know what was going on with them, para- paralysis, all sorts of things. Cast the demons out, pray for healing. God healed them. God delivered them, and then they got married. Now they're leaders in the church, and they're like… Like that's- that was, that was what, you know, Jesus wanted to happen. It's like that's, that's the formula, you know? Um, that's what- that was the point of the Church, like pa- partially, um, to fill the Great Commission and, and build out the Church. So it's like The more we can do that, the better.

[00:53:43] Now, at the same time, is there a lot of abuse of these things? Absolutely, and it's everywhere. We see people doing the wrong thing. We see people doing it for pride. We see people doing it for money or fame or all sorts of reasons that are not good. And, you know, there's a very famous verses, um, not everyone who, you know, um, who, who says, uh, uh, you know, comes on that day to say, "We'll be saved," you know, "Lord, Lord, did I not cast out demons, heal the sick, prophesy in your name?" Um, not e- not all these people that will be saved, but those who do the will of my father.

[00:54:16] You know, he says, "Depart from me, um, you doers of lawlessness. I never knew you." And there's three key takeaways from those verses. One, are you in the will of the Father? Two, do you know Jesus personally? And three, are you a doer of lawlessness? Are you someone who is in rebellion to God, using the name of Jesus, doing the miracles of Jesus, but is in rebellion to him behind the scenes? So those are the three sort of check marks that I look at, and I've been… Unfortunately, I've been burned by people too. You know, I've been burned by people I've done ministry with at this church or that church, and on the surface for a moment, they're doing all the same things, but then you start to realize this person's doing it for the wrong reasons.

[00:54:57] They're doing it for money. They're doing it for pride, and the Lord's separated us from those people, praise God, and we've grown in our discernment to, to identify those people and not work with them anymore and be more, way more careful. But in the early days, like we were deceived by people that were doing that stuff, who were wolves in sheep's clothing, you know? So there is a huge warning like, like yeah, use discernment, like be careful about who you're with. And, and number one, you know, love God with all your heart, mind, and soul. Love others as, um, you know, love your neighbors as yourself.

[00:55:28] Like if that, if, if that's not there, here's another big key. If someone in these meetings, in deliverance meetings or miracle meetings or whatever, if you see them not getting into the worship, to me, that's a massive red flag. That's a massive red flag 'cause like you see, like me, I get into the worship, I'm crying, I'm on my knees, I'm like, you know… And it's real, it's genuine. But I've seen people and they're like on their phone, checking their emails, they've gone out to the outside. Like to me, that's a bit of a red flag. Then they're coming in, they're doing miracles.

[00:56:00] I'm like, "No, no, no, no," like we're here for Jesus. Like we're here for God. We're here for peop- people, like- If you're not a part of that, then I'm pretty sus on, like, your motivation. So, um, yeah, just a bit of wisdom that I've learned there. Tell me about some of the things that you've seen through your ministry. I know there's one story about a young woman in a wheelchair. I'd love, love for you to share that. A few years ago, yeah. We, um, met her at a couple of meetings, and she'd come up for prayer in her wheelchair, heavily demon-possessed, paralyzed in a wheelchair, couldn't walk, couldn't even speak half the time.

[00:56:37] Um, we prayed for her a little bit. Nothing much was happening, but I think it was, like, the third meeting that she came to, we saved her till last, and she came up, and there was a few people still in the church, and we were praying for her, casting out a bunch of demons. She was manifesting, screaming, jumping around in the, or sort of, like, thrashing around in the wheelchair. Um, and then I just got this word of, just, just this word from the Lord, like, to break the agreement with the enemy that she's gonna be stuck in the wheelchair for the rest of her life.

[00:57:07] It was like she had come into agreement with this lie, and the Bible says, "Know the truth, and the truth will set you free." So when you're believing a lie, it can hold you in captivity. So I was like, I was like, "Anna darling, just break the lie that you'll be in this wheelchair forever And we prayed into that. She spoke that out, and then we're like, "Okay, get up." And then she- You know, a few people helped her for the first few steps, and then she just started walking, and then jumping around, spinning around. And it was, like, the craziest moment because her little brother was there, and he had the wheelchair.

[00:57:40] He didn't know what was going on, and he wheeled the wheelchair off. She never used that wheelchair again, and that was, like, three years ago maybe, and then she was, like, 17 or 18. She was, um- The doctors couldn't explain it. She was in the last year of school. Her school couldn't explain it. She got to go to her formal, like, her prom dance at the end of the year, and, um, she got to dance and, like, you know, walk around, and people were just, like, shocked, um, 'cause she'd been in, in a wheelchair for a year with, like, no hope.

[00:58:08] Um, and then she's been getting healthier, and she started a baking business from home, and she's been in revival meetings and all this stuff. And she's still had some more deliverance and healing to happen, and there's still some things going on, but God has done so many miracles in this woman's life, and now she's being used by God to testify and to help other people in it. And it's like that, that sounds crazy to anyone who doesn't believe Jesus. That might sound crazy to a lot of Christians, but this is- When, when you're living sold out for Jesus, and you're willing to just do whatever the Lord puts in front of you, like, you will see this stuff.

[00:58:44] It'll become normal to you, you know? You know what I mean? Like, it should be normal to us to see these things. It's normal to Jesus, you know? Make miracles normal again. Yeah. Amen. But also, at the same point, like, there are- Oh, man, obviously, there are people who are disappointed they didn't get their miracle, too. And to be honest, I don't know what to say some- sometimes. Like, you want someone to get out of a wheelchair. You want someone to get healed, and sometimes it doesn't happen Sometimes it doesn't happen that day, maybe it happens a year from then, the third or fourth time or the sixth time that you go and pray for them, or maybe it never happens.

[00:59:18] And it's just like we just gotta trust God that his ways are better than our ways. He knows better than we do. Sometimes that's the test of faith that person has to go through. I don't know, I don't have all the answers, and I'm sorry that not everyone gets their miracle and, um, um, um, it breaks my heart sometimes that, like, people … 'Cause I've seen people that just, like, we prayed for a million times and it just didn't happen. And sometimes it's just like, I don't know, I don't really have the answer. But I wanna encourage you, like, that doesn't mean that you walk away from Jesus.

[00:59:48] Like, it's the hope that we have on this earth is not, is not the hope that we're looking to. It's the hope of eternity with Jesus. This life is a drop in the ocean, it means nothing compared to eternity with God. Like, that's our hope, that's where our hope is. So I just wanna encourage anyone who feels like they haven't got their miracle yet, like, God is good. Put your hope in eternity, not, not in today. Yeah. And I wanna encourage anyone listening to this by, I'm gonna link to your channel and the testimonies we mentioned here today, um, Deliverance Down Under, and the countless amazing stories that people can just go and plow through at their own delight and, and just, and just listen.

[01:00:29] Anyone that's a, a skeptic to any of this, then go and check it out and, you know, seek earnestly in your heart. And, you know, after you see these stories and, you know, the more you go through these things, you will start to, I believe, arrive at Jesus. So Dan, please tell us about the work you're doing in Japan. So my whole life I loved Japan. I did Japanese language through school. I think I was the only one who took it seriously. Everyone used it to muck around, I used it to actually, I wanted to learn. And when I was working at Amazon just before I, my encounter with Jesus, I was actually planning to move to Tokyo.

[01:01:06] Um, I'd b- had a private tutor and learning and all this stuff, and I was gonna move to Tokyo, transfer to the Amazon office in Tokyo. But then COVID lockdowns happened and that plan got canceled. So it's funny how the Lord had prepared me for that even before I knew him, and, um- So there was a moment about a year ago when I was praying and I was like, "Lord, what do you want me to do with this Japanese language that I know? Like, I'm not fluent or anything, but I know enough, you know, to do something." And I heard at the time that Japan is only 1% Christian, and a revelation I've had recently is it's not just that it's 1% Christian, it's that 99% of all Japanese people are headed to hell right now.

[01:01:45] And that, like, completely broke my heart, and I said to the Lord, "Lord, like, if you want me to do something, tell me what to do." And he said, "Go and listen to some Japanese worship music." And I was like, 'What? I've never done that before." So I put on this worship music set in Japanese, and I just completely broke down in tears, and I could see, like, this vision of the whole of Japan and just all the people suffering. It's like I could understand the, the Father's heart for the suffering of Japan in this moment, and I'm like, "Lord, what do you want me to do?"

[01:02:15] And it's like I saw this vision of him handing me this red envelope, and it was just like, "Just go." Like, "Here's your mission. Go And so we took a team in November last year to Tokyo for a month, um, with some Japanese people, half-Japanese people, people who'd been missionaries there before. And we know there's a big problem in Japan sometimes with some missionaries who go and maybe take it as a bit of like a working holiday, 'cause, like, people love doing that in Japan. Um, but we wanted to, like, really not waste any time, so we hit it really hard.

[01:02:51] Um, we brought a speaker, a microphone, and all this stuff, and we brought a, a worship team to the street, to Shibuya Crossing, the busiest crossing in the world. Half a million people cross every day. And we preached the gospel, played worship music, prayed for people. We brought YWAM, Youth With A Mission, out with us, handed out tracts. I thought we were gonna get shut down in 10 minutes because it's the busiest crossing in the world, and we're not really allowed to do that there. Um, but God gave us the grace to be there for over three hours, and we just had this massive, like, reception.

[01:03:21] It was amazing. And then through the next month, we had different teams come in, and we were preaching the gospel almost every single day, doing interviews on the street, helping the homeless, working with other missionaries we work with. Awakening Tokyo Church in Tokyo, who go out five times a week to preach the gospel, which is absolutely incredible. Uh, we, we held two revival nights in Tokyo where there was about 50 people each. It was a small room. That's all we could fit, but they had come from all over Japan. More than 20 people got delivered of demons at those revival nights.

[01:03:53] People got healed. Um, through our trip, two different marriages got restored that were on the brink of divorce, which is, like, actually, uh, like, one of my favorite things that happened. Um, we visited people's houses. We went to people's houses, people that were in car crashes, people whose family were falling apart, people… Like, we were going to houses, we were praying with people. We were, we were seeing salvations, we were seeing healing, deliverance, all this stuff just for a month straight. We went to Daigaku Parking, which is, like, where the Tokyo Drift Japanese cars all meet, and we, we evangelized there.

[01:04:24] Um, w- oh, it was just incredible. Like, all these different places. We went to shrines, we went here, we went there, and I also made a documentary the whole time, so you can actually go and watch all the stuff that happened. It's a three-part documentary on my personal channel, which is DanSetFree, uh, DanSetFree YouTube And it's a three-part documentary series, so there's also interviews with pastors, um, with churches, missionaries. Um, you can see the stuff that we did on the street. It's, yeah, it's amazing. My heart for Japan is huge. Then after that, a few months ago, got invited to preach in Okinawa, in Japan.

[01:04:59] There's a revival conference there. And, um, that was amazing. Okinawa is a small island, it's a small population. It's far away from the mainland of Japan. There's a heavy American influence there. We, we held this revival, um, day, and we did some evangelism. Saw miracles there, cast out demons, healed the sick, preached the gospel. People responded to the altar call. There was a moment where I was preaching on stage where the Holy Spirit brought me to my knees, and everybody in the room got on their knees at the same time, and for the next 10 minutes we cried out for the salvation of Japan in repentance, and it was the most powerful moment I think I've ever experienced with God, besides being saved.

[01:05:36] And, um, yeah, God is, like, focusing on Japan right now. It's, it's a huge thing, and my heart breaks because the, the Church, the global Church kind of ignores Japan, I think, a lot because Japan's very safe and it's very wealthy, and it's, like, very culturally strong, so people sort of tend to, like, not really think about it as, like, a urgency, because compared to a Third World country, maybe it doesn't look as urgent. But Japan is, like, less than 1% Christian. So when you really think about that 99% of these people are headed for hell, like, no, no, no.

[01:06:11] Like, we've got to do something about this, like, right now. Like, who cares about how good Japanese culture and their food and all that stuff? Like, that means nothing. Like, we could- these people need salvation right now. Like, this is the time And so we're planning on going back maybe the end of this year or the start of next year to start a church with a bunch of different groups and pastors and worship leaders, and we have a, a big team that's ready to go. We're just waiting on some funding. We actually need funding 'cause it's expensive. Tokyo's one of the most expensive cities in the world, but it needs Jesus.

[01:06:41] And so we are planning on starting a church there, and it's not just gonna be a regular old church, it's more of like, I think of it like a barracks, like a training ground. Um, it's a fivefold church, and it's gonna be a, um, a heavy evangelism church, a very heavy evangelism church that's open every day, and there's gonna be stuff happening there every single day so that the community can connect with church and have true miracles, signs, and wonders. In, in the revival nights that we did in Tokyo, I had pastors coming up to me and say they'd never seen anything like that before.

[01:07:14] And it wasn't about what we were doing, it was about what God was doing through the leaders and the people that were there. Like, it had nothing to do with me or anyth- like, y- I just showed up, but, like, God was doing these miracles, and I was saying to these pastors, like, "This is available to you right now. Like, go back to your church. Like, set the people free. Heal them. Go out to the streets." And I just like, that's the number one thing, like I'm so on fire for Japan right now, I can't stop thinking about it. I was even praying a few months ago, 'Lord, I need a Japanese tutor to level up my Japanese, and my wife doesn't know a word of Japanese, so she needs to learn as well.'

[01:07:49] But a Japanese tutor is very, very expensive here in Australia, very expensive, and it can't be a secular teacher because they won't understand the, the Christian language in Japanese that I need to know. So I was praying about it, and then five weeks ago I was preaching here at this church, and I had mentioned briefly about Japan. And this older lady came up to me at the end and she goes, "Hey, I used to be a part of this church a long time ago before you were here. You don't know me. But, uh, I moved away, and I'm here for three months, and I'm a Japanese teacher, and I used to be a missionary to Japan, and the Lord told me to teach you and your wife Japanese for free for the next three months to get you ready for Japan."

[01:08:32] And I was like, "What?" That's how you know, like, we're on the right track and, like, God's providing and stuff like that. So yeah, I love Japan, guys. Get, get involved with Japan, please. 100%. And if anyone's got a heart for Japan or wants to support Daniel and his ministry's work over in Japan, all the links to that are below, and you can go check out his amazing work he's doing over there. And, uh, my teammate, uh, Karen introduced, uh, me to you, Daniel, 'cause, uh, her auntie met you in Japan and saw firsthand the absolute, uh, incredible work that's going on over there.

[01:09:05] A while ago I heard that the suicide rate is really high in Japan as well. So, and if you wanna support Daniel in any way, uh, whether it's a Japanese teacher or, you know, money or support or resources or team, click the link below in the description and check his, uh, ministry out. God has a plan and a purpose for your life. It's not just going to church on Sunday and sitting in the pews. That stuff, that's good. That's part of it. But, like, get out there. You know, get out on the street. Get, get into your workplace. Get in… Start talking about Jesus.

[01:09:36] Wear, wear clothes that say Jesus. Like, do everything you can because, like, now is the time that we have to just, like… We can't waste time, you know? And I get that people are busy and they don't have money. They don't know where to start But find the people, find the people who are doing, um, ministry and get involved. See where you can serve. Um, but also, oh man, people might get annoyed at me for saying this, but here's-- it's, it's so important, the great commission needs to be funded. Like I do this full time, you know what I mean?

[01:10:07] There's so many people in the world that are doing this full time, and like I try to make money on the side where I can. It's like Paul was making tents. I edit videos for people like that's my tent making. But I got a family, we're in this full time. Like we need, we need-- we constantly need, you know, airplane tickets, hotels, uh, we stay at people's house. We, we cut costs where we can, but we're always underfunded. Always underfunded. Like we're, we're constantly going into debt for the gospel, you know what I mean? And it's like God always provides, God always provides.

[01:10:37] But I just can't help but imagine if, if the gospel, if the great commission was properly funded, if, if, if we spent less money on smoke machines and laser lights for the churches, and we spent more on like sending people to Japan to preach the gospel, man, like this world can be completely changed so quickly. And it's not about us. Like, man, I used to make $200,000 a year at Amazon, you know. Like, I could just go back and make crazy money for myself. It's like through full-time ministry, I'm on like 20% of the money I was before, and all of it just gets reinvested back into the gospel.

[01:11:12] Like it's not, it's not about money for me, you know. Um, I don't care about money anymore. But we need money to actually do things as well. So I wanna encourage people, if you can, like not just us, like it doesn't have to be us. Whoever, whoever is on your heart, but like fund the kingdom of God, like it needs to be funded. And we need to rearrange the priorities of the church on what we're spending money on in the church to what really matters. Uh, 'cause people's salvation and freedom and healing matters more than a new smoke machine or whatever.

[01:11:42] But most importantly, find the people, connect with people who are going out to the street, or if that's not your calling, like go, just go find the people that are doing stuff and get involved. Like, we just need more people. There's, the harvest is plentiful, but the work is a few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest that He'll send more workers. So yeah, please just I encourage you, get out there and start doing stuff 'cause you're allowed to. Jesus already sent you. This is the thing. You don't have to necessarily wait for the, for your church to send you.

[01:12:10] Like that's good, that's important, cool. But Jesus already sent you. Like Mark 16, the great commission, like you, you've already been sent as a follower of Christ to do the great commission. So go get started, um- And God's gonna do amazing things. If you've never seen miracles before, I guarantee if you start going out on the street, you're gonna start seeing miracles because that's when the gifts, the spiritual gifts that God gives us, are needed the most, is when you're actually active in the work of the Gospel. It's like that's what a lot of the gifts were for. So if you put yourself in the positions where you need the gifts, the gifts will come.

[01:12:43] Um, so I just wanna encourage you, um, to do that as well. Yeah. Praise God. And it's a privilege to be able to fund God's kingdom as well. You know, whatever that looks like for you, whether it's money, whether it's time, energy, connections, resources, your talents are, can be used to expand the kingdom, and you c- you know, you lay up heavenly treasures. It's a privilege to participate in that because think about the eternal gifts that that brings for people in … When we leave this world and we, we go to heaven, then you're gonna meet all the people that you … that would have never been there without your time, your energy, your resources that you gave to grow the, the Kingdom of God.

[01:13:22] So do what you can, and you make it a, a, a priority to find what's on your heart and, you know, find that, that ministry which you, you feel led to support and go all in. So Daniel, I'd love for you to pray us out. Yeah, sure. Lord, I just come before you in, in great reverence, and thanks, Lord, that there's an opportunity to share my testimony. Your word says that we overcame the enemy with, by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. And so I know that you care deeply about our testimonies. Like, I see the woman at the well who encountered you, and she just ran into the city and started preaching about you.

[01:14:01] It's like when we know who you are, when we truly know who you are, we can't help but tell everyone about who you are, and I just pray that you would give that same gift of faith that you gave me to the people who are watching this right now, Lord God. I pray that the people who are really seeking your face, who really want the gift of faith, the supernatural gift of faith that can't be shaken, Lord, I pray that you just release that over them right now in the mighty name of Jesus, Lord. The gift of s- the, the gift of faith to see miracles Of healing, deliverance, prophetic come to pass, all of these things, Lord God, I pray that you begin to equip people in supernatural ways, that you give them boldness and a fire to move for the sake of the gospel, for the sake of salvations, Lord God.

[01:14:46] I pray into people who, who are considering, uh, sowing into or going to Japan, Lord, that you would empower them and make a way for that, Lord God. And I just even see the people who have forgotten in the gifts of hospitality and the gift of encouragement. So there are two gifts in the Bible that are really overlooked, the gift of encouragement and the gift of hospitality. And I wanna speak to those people specifically right now. The Lord has just placed on my heart that you are not forgotten, and that the Lord is gonna use you in powerful ways if you step into those gifts, into those roles on a deeper level.

[01:15:22] And God honors you in those roles. The, the Bible says that He will exalt you when you are in His will. And so when you're in His will, in those gifts, He's gonna exalt you, and He's actually gonna use those gifts to empower other people to go and do amazing things as well. And right now, people need encouragement. People like me, we need to be encouraged, and we need hospitality. When, when, when I come into a new city, I need a place to stay. I need a, I need a place to eat You know, the son of man has nowhere to lay his head.

[01:15:59] You know, I feel like Jesus like that sometimes. Um, that gift of encouragement and hospitality is so underutilized and underrepresented. So I just pray for those people right now, Lord, that you would just empower them on another level, Lord God. And I pray for anyone who's in doubt right now. I just break all powers of doubt over your life in the mighty name of Jesus. I command every spirit of doubt to leave right now in the mighty name of Jesus. Every spirit of fear of stepping out into that calling, I rebuke right now in the mighty name of Jesus. I command them to leave, for God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

[01:16:35] Lord, I pray that you fill them with your perfect love because your word says perfect love casts out all fear. So I pray right now in Jesus' mighty name that they would be delivered right now. I rebuke every spirit of fear and doubt right now in Jesus' name. Every spirit of false religion, every demonic Pharisee spirit, I command you to leave right now in the mighty name of Jesus. Release them right now. They need to be free to step in their fullness of their calling right now in Jesus' name. Leave from them right now. Leave from them right now. Leave from them right now in the mighty name of Jesus.

[01:17:05] Come out of them in Jesus' mighty name. Just be set free and receive the fullness of God's grace and his power and his love right now in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Just bless these people, Lord God. Give them hope, Lord. Restore hope in people's hearts. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. Thank you, brother. Thank you, brother. I appreciate you, Aaron, for having me on. Thank you
